How do I nominate my Team Captain for Team Captain of the Year?
Was your team captain totally awesome? Nominate them using this form to be recognized as the 2021 Team Captain of the Year! Deadline to submit is September 8th. The Captain of the Year will be announced at our MMC Awards Party on September 10th.
By when do I have to log my trips and claim my prizes?
The challenge ends August 31st, but you can continue to plug in your trips after the fact through September 9th. The point program for ebike and trailer raffles is also up through September 9th and the 5-trip and 10-trip incentive programs close September 14th. Note: your Showers Pass coupon is valid through September 15th and your Nossa Familia Coffee coupon is valid through September 30th.
How do I claim prizes?
Click PROGRAMS in the top menu bar and then select REWARDS.
On the right side of the page you’ll see incentives for logging five or 10 trips:
* Log 5 trips and you’ll get 20% off at Showers Pass.
* Log 10 trips and you’ll get a $5 coupon to Nossa Familia Coffee.
On the left side of the page you’ll see the points program where you can swap points for prizes. You’ve earned one point for each trip, and two points for each transit/train trip. You can enter the raffles multiple times:
* Trade 10 points for a raffle entry for a Vvolt ebike.
* Trade 5 points for a raffle entry for a Burley trailer.
How do I use the new Move More Challenge platform?
The Move More Challenge is now part of Get There, powered by RideAmigos.
Pre-existing Get There users: head to our network page and click the join button.
Join the Challenge. Click Programs in the top menu bar of any page then click Challenges to see The Move More Challenge. If it does not appear under Active, click the Available button. You’ll see a big blue arrow on the right side of the screen to click if Move More Challenge is not the first Challenge you see under Available.
Create/join a team (optional). If you were sent a link to join a team, you must first register at the link in step one, then join the challenge a la step two, and then click the team link provided by your Team Captain. To create a team, follow step two to get to the Move More Challenge page and click the Create a Team button.
What’s a network? Do I need to join a network where it says “Join your employer, organization, or school network below?”
A network can be any large group. If you have multiple teams at one employer or school it’s helpful for reporting to have a network. A network can also be any other sort of grouping–do you think you can start a phenomenon of book clubs creating teams together and want to have a “Bookclubs” network to join? Just ask and we’ll add it to the pulldown! Alternatively, you can skip the joining a network step if you want, or if you don’t see an employer/school/organization/group that applies to you.
I tried to sign up, but can’t find my activation email, where is it?
If it didn’t arrive to your inbox, look in your Promotions or SPAM folder.
How do I log trips?
Click Dashboard in the menu bar at the top of any page and scroll down to the Log My Trips part of the page. Check out the RideAmigos Basic User Help support portal for more about The Move More Challenge platform.
What modes of travel can I count?
Log all your bicycle, walk, electric or kick scooter, skate, and transit trips. Log e-bike and stationary bike trips as “bike.” Log e-skateboard and e-longboard trips as “skate” and Onewheel and similar rides as “electric or kick scooter.” Did we miss your vehicle in this list? Let us know and we’ll add it.
Is there an app?
Yes, Commute Tracker! Find install instructions here.
Can I connect my Strava?
You sure can! In fact, you can connect to over a dozen other services directly through Strava and 30 others using a connective app. See how to do that here. Note: stationary bike trips won’t transfer over and will need to be manually added in Get There.
Who is eligible to participate?
The Move More Challenge is open to everyone in Oregon, and we see it as a means to encourage a multimodal transportation system that contributes to equity in access, opportunity, health, and prosperity for people and communities across the Portland Metro Region and beyond.
