Renovo pioneered advanced bicycle manufacturing in wood beginning in 2007. The thick wall hardwood they use is hollowed out, bonded, and treated to produce a durable, resilient, and sustainable material. This bike was built in 2012 from curly maple, wenge, padauk accents, two layers of epoxy, and three layers of linear polyurethane to be the most stylish and low maintenance commute/adventure bike for day or night, rain or shine. It is equipped with an 11-speed Shimano Alfine internal gear hub, Alfine dynamo front hub with Schmidt front light, Topeak rear rack, and a Gates belt drive. The wheels were built by the local legends at Sugar Wheelworks with a reflective powder coat on the US-made Velocity rims to maximize visibility. A complete list of all of this bike’s specs are listed on the raffle ticket page.
