The Street Trust and Bird are teaming up to offer Portland e-scooter clinics that will provide safety instruction and skills practice.  

The Street Trust partnered with Bikes4Humanity and the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) to refurbish and gift bicycles to bike safety education graduates.

Help the next generation learn the joy of bicycling by volunteering to support our bike safety education program. 

Lamarra Haynes joined The Street Trust this month. The Portland-area regional government, Metro, is expected to place a transportation measure on the November 2020 ballot.

The 10th annual Love in Motion storytelling event, formally known as Live the Revolution, took center stage on Friday, February 7, returning again at the Alberta Abbey. This year featured stories from Ashley Henry, Mike Clark, Cameron Whitten, and Jackie Yerby.

Regional leaders at Metro held a public hearing on a proposed regional transportation measure on Monday, January 13. Representatives of The Street Trust testified to support safe streets and better transit.

GTT’s testimony flatly rejected the notion that adding road capacity will reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

We distributed “Free My Bus” signs and Advocacy Director Richa Poudyal urged the Council to take action to make bus travel times quicker to improve the experience of bus riders and attract new riders. 

The Street Trust Board of Directors elected Kimberlee Stafford to chair the Board. Stafford will take the reins from Justin Yuen who has held the chair post since 2014.

Meyer Memorial Trust awarded The Street Trust $148,860 to support our work to engage people to consider a transportation measure for the Portland region.
