Public transportation exists to get people where they need to go. We collect fares for public transportation to provide a revenue source that supports quality, convenient service. The purpose of fares is not to prevent people from getting where they need to go.

The 2019 Alice Awards

More than 300 supporters celebrated The Street Trust and the movement for active transportation at a sold-out Alice Awards last month. The event raised nearly $100,000 for The Street Trust’s programs to make walking, biking, and transit safe and convenient.
