FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: announces new contest to benefit cycling non-profit

Portland, OR – August 16, 2012 – Cycling apparel retailer announced a new contest today that will benefit a cycling-related non-profit organization.

“Not only are all of us at excited about cycling as a lifestyle, we’re also deeply committed to generating enthusiasm and creating new connections within our community,” said Doug Duguay, President.  “One way we have found to do that is by contributing to a cycling non-profit with this new contest.”

This month, is sponsoring a contest in which they will donate $1,000 to a cycling-related Non-Profit organization chosen by fan votes.

The three groups that have been nominated to benefit from this contest are all  outstanding organizations that serve to support and promote cycling and make the roads safer to ride:

1.  Trips for Kids National (TFK)
2.  Adventure Cycling
3.  Bicycling Transportation Alliance

The contest runs from now until September 14th, 2012.

Recently, the team raised over $5000 to benefit Tour de Cure, a nationwide cycling event that raises awareness about diabetes, and the team is committed to continuing its philanthropic and community building efforts.
