Congratulations to this year’s bike raffle winner!

"Thanks, The Street Trust, for all you do and make this awesome windfall possible for me. Sorry to you guys (including quite a few friends) who bought tickets. You know I could only beat you by the luck of the draw. I sure haven't ever gotten the better of you all at the cross races. But today I'm a lucky dog."

A note from our winner:

"Wow! What?!?! Tia Sherry of the Street Trust just called me this morning to confirm that I had indeed won the drawing for the Santa Cruz Stigmata! I'm still having trouble believing it.

Hot damn! I've coveted this bike for a while now since three of my riding friends have them, and, while I love my bikes, they're starting to feel old with rim brakes and not a whole lot of room for fatter tires. That never stopped me from flogging them for years on rides like the Dalles Mountain 60, but doing it with a 53/39 on 28mm Gatorskins was making me envy my buddies' Stigmatas.

So, like you, I'm sure, I took a crapshoot on this raffle figuring if nothing else, I'd have done a good thing helping The Street Trust raise some money. I've commuted forever on bikes and put way more miles than in a car. I've long supported the BTA (The Street Trust) for their advocacy on behalf of those who use the roads on two wheels. And through some amazing, blind luck, I will now be spending even more time on a bike. A really, really nice bike. (Although maybe a little less on the street.)

Thanks, The Street Trust, for all you do and make this awesome windfall possible for me. Sorry to you guys (including quite a few friends) who bought tickets. You know I could only beat you by the luck of the draw. I sure haven't ever gotten the better of you all at the cross races. But today I'm a lucky dog.

And big thanks to River City Bicycles, my long-time, go-to bike shop. You guys are the best and are always there supporting the bike community. Big love for River City Bicycles!

If it's any consolation to you guys, know that I will ride the hell out of this bike.

Cheers everybody! See you out there!"
