When we postponed the 2020 Active Transportation Summit, scheduled for March 17 - 19, it seemed like an extreme act of prudence rather than just the beginning of the shutdown of public life. The Summit is more than just a conference for us. It’s an important way to engage the public and private sector transportation professionals to re-orient our transportation system.
We know attendees value the opportunity to find fellow travelers in the industry in addition to sharing and learning best practices for walking, biking and transit.
At this time we imagine several on-line webinars that are relevant to the current crisis and recovery. We’d also like to convene transportation professionals virtually to identify post-crisis priorities. We then hope to have an in-person event this summer with a streamlined program that maximizes the opportunity to enjoy our fellow practitioners and community members.
