The Street Trust Board of Directors elected Kimberlee Stafford to chair the Board. Stafford will take the reins from Justin Yuen who has held the chair post since 2014.
Kimberlee has been biking, walking, and using TriMet to get around since moving to Portland in 1990. As a partner at Tonkon Torp LLP, her law practice focuses on commercial real estate transactions including development, purchase, sale, leasing, and financing. Kimberlee has advocated for sustainability principles throughout her career serving on the Multnomah County Advisory Committee for Sustainability and Innovation from 2014 to 2019 and receiving the Oregon State Bar President's Sustainability Award in 2015.
Kimberlee joined the Board of Directors of The Street Trust in 2017. As the Board chair, she hopes to continue The Street Trust's focus, in partnership with community-based organizations, on building an equitable transportation system where everyone has access to safe and affordable transportation options.
Justin led The Street Trust during the decision to expand the organization’s mission, adding walking and transit to its advocacy work, and the organization name change from the Bicycle Transportation Alliance to The Street Trust. He was instrumental in recruiting a larger and more diverse Board of Directors. Justin will remain a member of the Board and Executive Committee. He is the Founder and CEO of Grouptrail.
