- We’re still meeting at noon under the West End of the Morrison Bridge.*
- There’ll still be warm drinks and cookies at our final destination.
- We’ve still arranged for terrific weather.
- But this year, The BTA New Years Day Ride is going to Clackamas County!
The Bike Gallery has opened a new location on 82nd Ave. and they have generously offered to host the New Years Day Ride endpoint with coffee donated by Stumptown Coffee Roasters. How will we get there? It would be very easy to take the Springwater Corridor and easier still to just leave our bikes under the bridge and pile on to a Green Line MAX train as both pass very close to our destination. Instead, though, we’ll be passing through Milwaukie and talking about some of the exciting changes afoot there. Mostly, though, we’ll just be riding bikes, chatting, and looking forward to the snacks at the end. Midpoint snacks provided by Bike Milwaukie with help from New Seasons Market.
The ride will be just under 12 miles. The endpoint is spitting distance (technical term) from the Fuller Rd. MAX stop (with trains running to downtown) and the Springwater Corridor Trail.
*UPDATE: Mid-point meetup option announced! Meet us in Milwaukie.
See you in 2013!
