Bike More Challenge Champions!

More than 11,600 participants logged over 230,000 trips and 1.7 million miles at the wrap of the 2018 edition of The Street Trust’s largest encouragement event, the Bike More Challenge!

Oregon had more participants than any other state in the country despite only being 27th in population size! Notably, Oregon had 1,500 more participants than our friends in Washington state. More than 1,700 riders were new to the Challenge this year. The Challenge competition rewards encouraging on new riders in order to introduce the joy and benefits of cycling to more people.

 
Everyone wins when they participate in the Bike More Challenge, but for our competitive friends it’s about the top spot. At the Awards Party June 6th at WeWork Custom House, The Street Trust proudly recognized the following 2018 winners:

Non-Binary rider with the most miles: Mo Roberts, 679 miles
Female rider with the most miles: Erinne Goodell, 1,428 miles
Male rider with the most miles: Anson MacColl, 1,704 miles
New Non-Binary rider with the most miles: Lif Bowers, 654 miles
New Female rider with the most miles: Lisa Morrow, 766 miles
New Male rider with the most miles: Cesar Villegas, 1,071 miles
Top Encourager: Andrew Borel, 76 people
Team with the most points, 500+ staff: Portland State University
Team with the most points, 200-499 staff: New Relic
Team with the most points, 50-199 staff: KEEN Footwear
Team with the most points, 20-49 staff: Alta Planning + Design
Team with the most points, 7-19 staff: Nelson\Nygaard Consulting Associates
Team with the most points, 3-6 staff: Corvidae

Tommy Connell of Pedego closed out the Challenge party by drawing the name of the 2018 Bike More Challenge raffle grand prize, the “Conveyor” eBike valued at $5000. The winner was Sri Varadharajan. Congratulations Sri!
